NHS Northamptonshire is fully committed to providing and developing opportunities for the public to be involved in decisions that affect the way NHS services are delivered. The public provide important comments and feedback to consultation and engagement proposals that directly influence decisions made within NHS Northamptonshire.

How to get involved?

If you would like to get involved, you can do so in various ways. The best way to stay up to date with consultations and engagement in and around Northamptonshire is to join Northamptonshire Pulse. Through Pulse you can get involved with focus groups, reading groups and volunteer your time accordingly. You can also attend regular Pulse locality meetings and receive the quarterly Pulse Newsletter.

You can also view open consultations and completed consultations and have your say where applicable.

The comments and views that we receive are always carefully considered and used to inform decisions about your health service. The importance of telling patients and members of the public how their views have been used to influence services is a firm commitment of NHS Northamptonshire.

Duty to Report 2009/10

The NHS Act 2006, requires Primary Care Trusts, like NHS Northamptonshire, to report annually on consultations and publish a report outlining consultations undertaken during the previous financial year. The report also outlines the feedback received and how it influenced commissioning decisions. For more information, view the 2009/10 Duty to Report (PDF).
